RESPONSIBLE PARTIES / ACTUAL HUMANS

The Team

R² is, despite mounting evidence to the contrary, operated by actual humans.

These are the people responsible for the objects, research rabbit holes, questionable ideas, museum distractions, spreadsheets, prototypes, artwork, and other assorted evidence found throughout this site.

Some of us make things. Some of us research things. Some of us do both when we should probably be sleeping.

TEAM MEMBER / PUBLIC PROFILE

Maker / Researcher / Builder / Responsible Party

Making, research, production details, preservation rabbit holes, and an unreasonable number of spreadsheets.

R² works where objects, systems, design decisions, strange interests, and the practical work of getting things made overlap.

TEAM MEMBER / PUBLIC PROFILE

BethEden

Partner in Life & Business / Creative Collaborator / Independent Artist

An important source of concepts, visual thinking, creative input, and ideas that may need to exist immediately.

BethEden is R²'s partner in life and business, which means there is very little meaningful separation between ‘we had an idea’ and ‘now there is a prototype on the table.’

Within R², she contributes concepts, design ideas, creative direction, visual thinking, inspiration, and the occasional suggestion that immediately becomes everybody's problem.

She is not solely responsible for every R² design or piece of artwork. R² is collaborative, and the creative process has a tendency to become difficult to assign cleanly once enough browser tabs are open.

Independently, BethEden is an artist working across multiple styles and media, including fine miniatures. Her own practice is its own body of work, separate from R² while still inevitably influencing the strange things that happen here.
